Bremen/Munich, October 23, 2009. The OHB Technology Group (ISIN: DE0005936124, Prime Standard) has sold all shares in KT Automotive GmbH, Munich, to the Kistler Group, which is domiciled in Winterthur, Switzerland.

KT Automotive develops, fabricates and markets data recording systems for automotive crash test applications. With a share of around 70% of the market, it is the world’s leading provider of hardware, software and services in this segment.

The transaction also includes the activities of the subsidiaries in China and the United States. KT Automotive has 33 employees and generated revenues of EUR 7.3 million in 2008.

Accordingly, the OHB Technology Group is parting ways with its automotive crash test business. As a result, the Payloads + Science division will now be concentrating to a greater extent on projects and developments in the space segment.
