Ariane 5 completed six successful launches in 2008, with MT Aerospace, which supplies around 10 percent of the hardware, making a crucial contribution to this. Among other things, six flight sets were produced and supplied last year, a figure which is to climb up to eight in 2008. Indeed, a further increase in the cadence is quite possible. Spurred by heightened demand, full capacity utilization is guaranteed at the Augsburg plant. In fact, personnel resources are to be stepped up as a result.
